How are your marketing efforts paying off? About 63 percent of businesses say their biggest marketing challenges focus on generating traffic and leads, according to Hubspot. Considering this, every dollar spent on marketing needs to lead to the highest ROI on any type of marketing you do. To do this, focus on the areas most likely to lead to profitable results. These are the five types of offers you can present to your would-be customers to see real results.

1) Provide a Free Course
People love information. Giving it away for free generates leads. If your business offers a product or service to other companies, why not solve a pain point for that business with a free course? It needs to be just a short course and it can be a podcast, webinar, or a simple ebook. Give them information that’s valuable, and they’ll sign up.

2) Case Studies and Reports
Insider information about a company’s industry or sector is always valuable. For example, delivering a comprehensive white paper on the state of the latest technology companies within the sector offer will give customers valuable information. It not only helps to provide your company with leads but also creates the image your business is an expert in the industry.

3) Demos and Free Trials Work Well
A good way to secure customers is to give them a way to try out your service or product without cost. A demo that requires just an email address, for example, can work well. Another option is to send a free trial run of a product to your customer with insight and information. Give them a solid level of support. Video demonstrations can work well, too. They show the customer what they’ll experience. To access these, they need to supply contact information.

4) Contests and Free Products
A fantastic way to generate leads is to provide a free offer. That offer can be anything – and it does not need to be free product (though this is an option). For example, give your business customers a free infographic about their industry, perhaps a training poster or guide for their employees. It’s an easy way to get contact information.

5) An Email Series with Valuable Information
Giving away a free email series can be another excellent tool. Not only does it require the prospective customer to provide email and contact information, but it allows you to keep selling to them several times over the course of numerous weeks. A 12-day email course, for example, gives you 12 times to get your company’s product or name in front of your customers.
